So another chance to see how far we have come this season with a very tough away game. A shame that we wont get to see Nando playing in the Calderon but oh well, im sure he'll get a chance again. Atletico are playing very well, bar one shocking result against Barca but i'm not reading much into that. Some great players that could cause us serious problems. I'm worried about Aguero and Sinama running rings around Carra and Agger which is why i feel Masch has to play.

    My starting XI would be:

    Reina

    Arbeloa
    Aurelio(If fit)
    Agger
    Carra

    Masch
    Alonso

    Kuyt
    Gerrard
    Riera

    Keane

cant wait to see Atletico-Liverpool tonight, you guys think Atletico can finally stop this losing in a row? Thye dont look so confident anymore,if this match was played 3 weeks ago i would put a lot of money on their win but now i am not so sure,i wouldnt be surprise to see Liverpool winning this

Agree with the starting 11, 4-2-3-1 is the logical formation. I cant help but suspect a home win for both parties with be tacitly agreed to, then a fight for the top spot in the two remaining games. Aguero will be rested its been suggested.

I cant see Rafa tactically agreeing to our first defeat of the season

No three points each makes perfect sense, 9 points is nearly home and dry for both. PSV/Marseille will quite possibly draw tonight.

You sure Aguero is due to start? Said in the paper there yesterday he was carrying a niggle.
Very good chance it's mind games though....

I said "Aguero will be rested its been suggested." Atletico play Villareal this weekend, and they need a win badly.

WTF? Rafa will be going for the win. We owe Athelitico nothing, and they owe us nothing. He's going home to Madrid, he is going to want to show off the power of his team.

Who is saying there is an agreement? (spoken or otherwise)

Liverpool to win, Kuyt to score. You know it's going to happen.

Pity El Zhar's not on the CL squadlist, would be nice to have the option to put him on late. Means Pennant is definately in the squad anyway. Could see N'Gog getting a bit of a game too.

I'll agree that this should be a cracker. But when a game is billed as this you know it usually ends 0-0...

When did Rafa sign Mascherino? Some typically clueless punditry going on.

What? Because they pronounce a name incorrectly?

    Talk about being pedantic.

so stupid. always drama in their commentary

Interesting decision to rest Aguero. I wonder is he actually having muscular pains or is the coach hoping that he can take advantage of a tired liverpool defense in the last half hour...

Des, the general standard I woz talking about, Billos inabilty to correctly pronounce any foriegners name correctly is merely an added extra.

According to Jamie Redknapp on Sky Sports, Pepe Reina is 6foot 4inches tall:confused:

They were talking how you don't need to be huge to be a class goalie these days and Jamie came out with that pearl of wisdom. None of the panel pulled him up on it...no way he's near that height is he?
