Where to buy tubes?

    Hi guys, I need a new pair of power tubes for my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe Combo. Where's the best place to get them? Do any of the shops in Dublin sell them at a reasonable price?

    Lots of people order from eurotubes.com. The guys who run it are very helpful, good prices and fast delivery even though it's from the States (mine took 4 days). You're pretty much limited to JJ brand valves with them, but that's not a bad thing, they're good products. Lots of useful info on the website too, biasing instructions etc.

    Last I checked, the retail shops in Dublin had feck all and not at reasonable prices. I buy valves from Watford Valves in the UK (watfordvalves.com).

    Don't forget that power stage valves have to be matched, and the amp will have to be rebiased for the new valves. You're looking for a pair of 6L6GCs.

    I'd agree with eurotubes. They were very helpful with my order and the tubes came in no time. I'd recommend them.
