Shock at Blasphemy

Has anyone noticed the proliferation of mosques in town (Dublin City Centre), which are probably illegal?

Whilst I have no problem with this and I urge followers to follow-on as they wish, I have noted a tendancy all over the world for these practices to lead eventually to a pauperization of urban societies, hence leading to disarray and shabbiness.

I am apalled at the treatment of urban development on the part of An Board Pleanala, DCC and the likes, and I dearly hope for the sake of our community, that actions will be taken to supervise and oversee such worrying developments.

I have no problem with this
If that's the case, you should sue your fingers for misrepresentation :)

Well it'll only take time, but you'll see. All over the world it began this way, then worsened, and a few years down the line, you'll have queues of people praying on the pavement, and hoses out of buildings for people to wash.

Once again, I have no problem with the source of it, this being practice of the faith, but if not overseen very strictly it'll get out of hand... Just look accross the Irish Sea.

? Hoses out of buildings for people to wash? I certainly haven't been all over Britain, but I did live in London for 3 years. Never did I see this type of thing?? I'm curious to know what you're referring to? Even the praying on the pavement, where does this go on?

Oh yeah, and whats the blasphemy line refer to?

Correlation is not causation. The high density of mosques in poorer urban areas (assuming this is a real correlation) could as easily be due to the fact that immigrant populations are more prone to poverty due to discrimination. Or it could be neither your explanation or mine. There are so many confounding factors that you'd want to have your information pretty straight before throwing around assumptions like these. For all you know, the same discriminatory attitudes you are expressing here are the starting point for the process of segregation and decline you are pointing to.

Give us some actual evidence, beyond mere correlation mind, and we'll consider what you're saying. Otherwise it just reads as lazy prejudice.
