    Can someone tell me how much tax do we pay on shift allowance is 20% or 41%??

    I'd wager you pay the same tax as on any other income (i.e. if you are above the 20% band you pay 41% irregardless how you earned it).

    Yes, the tax office doesn't care whether or not you work shifts - they just want a % of your total income.
