well if not the bird (in the swimsuit

) then the kittie. love the bench too though - kinda more pensive. kittie is just warm n fuzzy kinda. eek... original bird would be my least favorite. decisions, decisions...

As a qualified zoologist (and no, i joke you not) i would have to say it was ironically enough a shag, from the cormorant family (not sure which species).

I really like the bench shot, great DOF and an interesting composition. The sahg is a nice shot too (and maybe a better choice for the book).

I'd go for the cat, but I'd boost the contrast a bit. Just looks a teeny bit..flat to me.
