Coloured tights with peep toe sandals?

What are people's views on this? Yay or nay? The outfit I have in mind is black dress, black peep toe sandals with purple tights and accessories. Is the fact that the tights will be seen through the peep toe a no-no?

Definitely ok, your outfit sounds lovely too, I'm loving purple and black at the minute.

It's being done, you see it on the catwalk and in magazines. I think the key to pulling this off would be to make sure to hide the seams of the tights under your toes .... otherwise it'd look awful!

Thanks. Don't know what to make of those! You'd defo see them in the sandals though so they'd look odd I think. It's all or nothing I think!

Ah ok. I think they'd be good with just a normal peep toe, but defo not sandals!

I would say yes it could look good. check out the pictures of daisy lowe on this link with the black tights and coloured shoes. not sonmething i would have thought would look great but it does

those shoes are fabulous! The tights will definately make the outfit a bit more funky and on trend!

Thanks a lot for all the advice! I love the shoes in the other colour too. I originally wanted the dress in the lilac colour but it's actually more of a grey colour when you see it up close. I have a black shift dress too which might also work. Sounds like a plan

I have a similar query, black dress, gold peep toe shoes (similar to the OP's actually) don't know what colour tights to wear. Hate wearing flesh coloured tights, but not sure about black or coloured with peep toes shoes. Is there an age limit on this look, I'm 29 and don't want to look like mutton wearing coloured tights!

What about purple, but not a really bright purple, like a deep purple? or else a really deep green might be nice?

I'd wear black if it's with gold shoes. I think coloured tights might be too much.

But then again, it really is all about what you are comfortable in.

I've worn coloured tights with peeptoe shoes and I've worn stirrup ones where a gap between the shoe and the tights at the back was visible. It's more about how you feel in the clothes than anything.
