Hi, Myself and my wife are thinking of going to Italy next May/June with our baby girl. Baby will be 15 months old by then. We'd like to go somewhere that's familiy friendly close to a beach, good restaurants, nice scenery etc. Because it will be a gift, I'd like the hotel to be 4 star or above, any recommedations would be appreciated.

Myself and my husband stayed in a very small resort called Baia Sardinia which is in northern Sardinia for a few days this summer and loved it.

The resort is centred round a small but beautiful beach and has plenty of nice cafe's and restaurants and is very peaceful and relaxing. If you wanted to go further a field during the day you would need to hire a car.

We stayed in hotel Mon Repos and found it very good but I'm not sure it would be suitable for a baby as there are steps throughout the hotel.

If you do a search for Baia Sardinia on tripadvisor, you should get a good selection of photos which will give you a good idea what the resort is like.

My brother and his family stayed in Villa Pia earlier this year. It is not near a beech, but is all geared up for families.
