Back Pain

    ive been suffering on an off for 18 months with my back

    went to a chiropractor and he took an x-ray and said it was fine that people put there backs out every now and then , but i have never had issues before this

    anyway i saw him for 2 or 3 times a week for a month and helped and then i stopped and its just come back

    im not sure as to go see him again as people say they can do more damage than good , its affecting my gym work , i can cycle yeah but walking after 10 mins i feel it

    anybody else i can see

    i know its probably not the type of answer you are looking for but your on / off back problems 'could' easily be related to your current weight, our bodies are only built to carry a certain ammount .. speaking from experience i have never had a back problem since loosing weight so my advice is to stick with the cycling if its not causing any pain and try the walking / running etc again at a later point when your lighter ...

    cheers man i already knew that

    obviously as i lose weight im hoping it will settle down

    people say to lose weight do squats or heavy lifts , i can because of this and thats whats annoying

    Are you serious??? Are you claiming that given two guys of equal height, one weighing 170lb, the other weighing 300lb, both will have the same amount of stress placed on their back from their bodyweight???

    Don't be annoyed. If you can't do squats etc because of your back then just don't do them - for now. Remember keeping it simple (good diet + low impact cardio)? Do that and the weight will come off and the back pain will likely go away, leaving you to do whatever exercises you want.
