shortly my drive willl be have tarmacadam laid 50mm thick. Is this sufficient??? I'm not worried about cars and such, but the oil lorry will have to drive on to it to deliver heating fuel. There is a good depth of hardcore 1 to 1.5 feet under it. Any ideas?

We had asphalt laid about 5 year ago... 2 layers of 50mm each. There was a base of well compacted hardcore under this...

Having said that... locally the oil companies will not drive onto tarmac driveways... rather they rollout the hose from the road....

Not sure how this would work if you had real longe driveway.
