EXPIRED UK CARD TO BECOME IRISH CARD-QUICK QUESTION

    Hi I would just like to confirm the following if anyone knows.

    Can a still active expired UK sub card be converted to be used as an Irish card assuming you get the right person to do it, or is the card unconvertible at this stage.

    you dont need to do anything

    just stick it in your sky digi box and enjoy..... you will get the uk epg so utv,ch4.ch5 etc

    Only a subscription is any use with an irish card. If you subscribe on an existing Sky box, Sky will send you a card.

    Never give an Irish change of Address for a UK card. Take out a new sub or let it expire as various UK channels are not on the Irish EPG.

    You can easily swap the card in the box.

    If you don't want subscription TV, do nothing.


    An Irish card only does the 4 Irish channels with an Irish subscription.

    I want the card to become irish(without a sub)so I can then hopefully use it to subscribe to a well known sports channel which is not called sky.

    There is no such card/method. If you can give a UK addess, you can get a UK setanta sub on that card.

    Getting a Setanta Sub was possible on its own, but they seem to now only do it on a UK or Irish Sub.

    Since you have a box you can I think get a basic Sky sub (including new Irish card) for a minimum of 3 months with no install. Should be under €60 in total. The Setanta sub will continue to work after you cancel Sky.

    I have a feeling these regulations will be relaxed.I reckon if you have a sky card and a box Setanta will now find a way to subscribe you separately. So many cancellations will be coming over the next few months they will be desperate to get any customer on board.
