what subjects are essential to do if your considering going on to study veterinary (even though it's supposed to be near impossible to get into ucd at the moment)

is it all 3 science (biology, physics and chemistry) maths and 2 others? does it matter what the other two would be to increase your chances? I think you have to do 5 honors subjects and get an A in all the science subjects and get 2 B's. Sounds very tough!

    For UCD you need

    Irish - OD3
    English - OD3
    Mathematics - OD3
    A third language - OD3
    Chemistry - HC3

And in 2008 you needed 555 points (Say 2A1s, 3A2s and a B1) to definitely get in though some people got in with 550.

Is Irish 100% necessary or can you get an exemption? I've never studied it. Thanks :)

If you never studied it cos you have a learning disability or lived out of the country for a certain number of years you can get an exemption for the Leaving Cert and so you'd still be able to get into UCD.
