It was on MSN straight in front of me. I didn't exactly go "MMmmmm I wonder if there's any rabbit island around the world. Lets google it."
The link was there when I logged on. I swear. Word of honour.
On a side note, I was thinking a kind of Mark Thatcher (Maggie's mercenary son!) attack on the island. 8 or 9 lads armed with .17hmrs and a couple of lightforces and jeeps could be parachuted in and retake the island for mankind in a week

We are thlking about south Africa here!! Id say they give ,17hmrs to there kids under seven as toys.
I was talking to an old man from S.A afew years ago. He told me a story of him and afew mates on a weekend pi$$ up, when one of them talked the rest into getting into there jeeps and heading for the war torn country next door.
So away they went full of beer, to see what they could find. First thing they came across was an 88mm howitzer. Oh how they laughed as they hooked it onto the toe bar and made a U turn and headed back for S.A.
On waking the next morning and looking out the window, it was not so funny to see the 88mm cannon parked in the yard. So they hid it in the barn. He told me that the police there have hand in days ever so often. Where people can hand in unlicenced guns and equipment. No questions asked.
So the Boys spotted there chance at the next hand in day, and hooked the cannon onto the truck and headed for town.
He said he walked into the station. Told the cop he had something to declear for handing in. So the cop got out the paperwork and pen and asked him to put the gun onto the counter.
Well that might be a problem he said. Why? asked the cop. Well its outside with my truck, he said. Ok, take it in so said the cop. Think its best if you come out said the man.
He said the face on the cop was priceless, when he seen an 88mm howitzer parked outside the police station.0 -
