Ok dont all rush in at once, thanks for all the helpfull suggestions

Any way I've decide to send it off this week to an Irish agent, its a toss between 2
    • Lisa Richards Agency
    • Jonathan Richards Agency

Anybody with past experience dealing with these?

Take your pick from the below

A.) This has been discussed several times before
B.) That submit is spelt incorrectly doesn't inspire one to get involved
C.) That you've not bothered to give much information beyond - I've written a novel - encourages equal lethargy in response

However, congrats on writing your novel - Now the hard work begins!

You should send it to anyone who will take it, chances are you'll get plenty of rejection letters.

    Does that help?

Yeah thanks, looking forward to receiving my first rejection letter.

Writing 2 books; humours fiction and financial non fiction

Lisa Richards Agency - non fiction

    Jonathan Williams Agency - fiction

Will sell the rejection letters on eBay when I became a famous author

Best do a little research and then send it directly to publishers who have already published something 'similar'. Use feedback from publishers to refine your sales-pitch and / or assist re-write your writing.

Don't place limits or constraints (two agencies) at this stage - Be bold and just go for it....

know your target.don't just send it out to anyone. a lot of stamps will need to be bought and a lot of printing done. good luck

I wouldn't recommend sending the whole thing unsolicited. Send the first couple of chapters with a covering letter and synopsis. This is a much more professional approach than sending off the whole thing. If they like it they'll ask for the rest.

Apart from anything it'll save you a fortune in printing and postage costs.

yes, agents/publishers usually want first 3 to 5 chapters and a synopsis. the cost will obviously be related to the amount of times you send it out.
