Im looking for a bit of advice. I have a Sony amp and it only has 1 Optical input which is currently used by the XBOX 360.

Does the Sky HD box have a digital coaxial output that I could connect to the amp??

If so would the sound quality be as good as through the optical cable??

    Thanks in advance!!

there is only optical on mine. no coax.
you would have to use stereo.

    Good news!!!

I just went and had a proper look at the back of the amp. It has 2 x Optical Inputs.....and....2 x HDMI Inputs and 1 HDMI Output to monitor so thats that sorted!!

Its a while since I had a look back there and was confusing it with the DVD player I have!!! What a numpty!!

Anyway, of the multiple choices I now have as per the above inputs/outputs what would be best??

    And thanks!!

Sky box (as far as I've been told) dont do Dolby over HDMI.

EDIT: info not needed as user has things sorted.
