im going to thailand at christmas for my sisters wedding and i dont know what to do about my tan!?
i wont have time to get a real tan because i wont be there long enough before the wedding,
im afraid a fake tan that i use myself will come out wrong or else react in the sun.
and i dont know if they do spray tan in any of the salons over there?
the best idea ive had is to use a sun bed for a few sessions but i know that they're dangerous
does anyone know anything about bodywave?is it as good as it sounds?
i really need help so please reply!!!

Depends how much time you have between arriving and the Wedding...

I am a frequent traveller to Thailand and i have never seen fake tanning being offered anywhere in salons over there! Prob because it wouldn't be very profitable for them!

A normal spray tan will last a good 5-6 days. To be on safe side you could get it put on really dark initially so that it will last longer. Exfoliate like a lunatic before you get the tan and you will be grand.

Wouldn't rec tanning beds of any description

    Good luck! :-)

How long between when you go and when you go to the wedding?

Why dont you bring over a tan you self such as st tropez?? Practice a couple of times before then so the night before the wedding it'll be perfect. I did my own tan for my brothers wedding and it looked the same as everyone elses.:D

yeh go for the st tropez, its almost impossible to get it wrong, it's brown so you can see exactly where it's going and it is the most natural fake tan you could possibly get.

    would avoid sunbeds completely

Go for the 'pale and interesting' look? Sure you're only going to look orange amongst all those naturally tanned people anyway.

yeh pale and interesting can be really sexy - absolutely not on me mind you!

If, like me, there is no hope of you going bare, i'm guaranteeing you that noone will have any idea that you are faking it with the st tropez, I am always asked am I just back from my holidays, it has a green tinge to it when you're putting it on but this is a good thing as it neutralises the orange.

What about going for a daily moisturiser for the couple of weeks before, apparently you can't go wrong with those!

thanks everyone for all your advise!
i will have 4 days in thailand before the wedding, but thats almost a week after when i leave ireland so a spray tan over here isnt an option.
i really want to avoid sun beds at all cost eventhough thats what my mum and sister want to do.
so im thinking a DIY job is what i have to do. ill start practising now since i still have 8 weeks before i leave.
is st trpez my best option? id appreciate a few names of products so i can try a few and pick the best one for me.

    thanks again!
