affordable cctv camera that records onto a hard disk

    i need a camera to keep an eye on my front door from inside a conservatory.

    id rather it was wireless and could store the video on a computer stored somewhere in the house. anyone know what my options here are?

    In theory any wireless camera and a dvr card will do that for you. There is lots of that stuff on ebay. The range of some of the wireless cams is not that great so if the distance between the pc with the dvr card (where the reciever will be) and camera is more than a couple of meters make sure you do your homework on the range of the wireless cam.
