TNA kick the following to the curb...

    Johnny Devine and Karen Angle.

Not sure what the deal was with Angle, but Devine apparently asked for his release over a month ago. Shame, i actually enjoyed Devine's work, made Team 3D watchable throughout the last year too.

    But they added something:

    Future storyline
As I broke yesterday exclusively on my PWInsider.com Elite Audio Hotline, TNA will be introducing a fifth championship belt into the company shortly.

The belt, which will be introduced and held by Booker T, will be a "Legends championship" with the storyline being that Booker has brought it into the company, similar to Ted DiBiase's Million Dollar belt in the early 1990s WWF. Booker will then defend it against younger talents he feels he's above and other "Legends."

TNA took possession over the belt over the weekend during the Bound for Glory weekend in Chicago. It was designed by Rico Mann and built by Dave Millican and Reggie Parks.

    PWInsider Hotline

Honestly I think it is pretty stupid compared to the idea which inspired it

Karen is taking indy bookings, she could replace Dupree at IWW :D

That is a pretty stupid idea alright. It could have some potential, but since this is TNA we're talking about I doubt it'll be any way decent.

Sorry to see Devine go, he's done some decent work.

Johnny Devine confirmed Dot Net reports from two weeks ago that he asked for his release from TNA. "Yes, I asked for a release from TNA," he wrote on his Myspace page. "Yes, it has been granted to me. I had until Oct. 22, 2009 on my contract remaining. Why you ask? Well, that's a long answer with a number of reasons. All of which are personal and need not be thrown out there. For now I will simply say that I made myself a promise early on in my career. That was: when it's o longer fun to wrestle it's time to go. And it was no longer fun for me at TNA." To read his full blog, check out his Myspace Page: http://www.myspace.com/canadiandevine.

Powell's POV: Devine also stated that he was frustrated with how little he was allowed to do in the ring, and noted that he is going to take a broadcasting and television production course. I commend the guy for leaving because it was no longer fun to him. It was a risky career move, but what's the point if you're not having fun?

Devine will still make a decent pay packet out of indy bookings combined, he'd get away with charging a bit for his in ring talent alone.

Kurt's not happy, apparently he wasn't informed of Karen's release beforehand.
But on the other hand, why would he be?

He got her hired/has a lot of power. I know they are seperated but still things are meant to be civil between them.

Exactly, they're separated and things are civil between them.
But at the same, she's her own person and is big enough to fight her own battles.

I know i'd be pissed off if i split with my missus and she was then trying to fight my battles for me.

You'd also be pissed off if she was asking for more money in a divorce proceeding after being made unemployed. :P

Devine answered his own question his was meant to be a heel and a traitor to the x division you cant really pull off a high flying style then can you? if he starts busting out 450's and all that you are going to get cheered

    Pretty non-argument really

Same was a Daivari annoys me with his wrestling style in TNA but thats the idea I suppose

I don't see Devine as much of a loss. His ring work always seem sloppy and dangerous. Granted he took some sick ass bumps but if you have to rely on that to get you over your in trouble

Please let this be the last straw for Kurt and TNA.

Come back to WWE Kurt! WE LOVE YOU!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,602 ✭✭✭✭ShawnRaven

Kurt back to WWE in the midst of a wellness policy? Don't bank on it. That and the fact that he's on silly money over in TNA for doing less shows.

Worst he'll do is fume for a week or so.

Anyone ever see the 5 star moonsault that Devine apparently does?, Sounds intriguing
