Right, I'm going on a long haul flight in a couple of days and I am looking for a comfy alternative to traksuit bottoms cos I hate the things..

Anybody any ideas?.. Any suggestions would be really helpful...:)

Next do some really soft, comfortable combats style trousers? I've a pair and I luv 'em :)

Alternatively, wear jeans or whatever, and change in the toilets to tracky bottoms just before you settle down to sleep!

I have a nice black dress I wear with soft tights. It's a going out dress but it's made of soft stretchy 'jersey' material. It means no tight waistbands. Wear with a hoody and boots for maximum comfort.

Definitely combats - there's the added bonus of all the pockets too.

Ok, depending on how long the flight is, you might find your body swells a little. The key is - skirts are out, high shoes are out (you won't fit into them after a long flight - I am normally ok with high shoes from NY to Dublin but found out to my horror that after the LA to Dublin flight, they no longer went onto my feet very well), anything fitted is out. If you're gonna try look for an upgrade, don't wear jeans.

I'd suggest either a comfy pair of combats with flat boots or nice pair of loose (but good) trousers with pumps. Ya know the type of formal trousers that are a bit shorter so you can wear them with flats. Bring warm socks too. Make sure whatever footwear you bring is comfy and not too tight!

Did a lot of traveling and flying over the last weekend and spent most of the time in leggings and comfy loose tshirts. I know there's a strong anti-leggings group around these parts but they're really comfy, especially if you're like myself and never wear tracksuit bottoms.
