    Because the spoon is often hyperbolic shaped (I think thats the word)

    Animals can't talk to each other but instead communicate through body language.

    To stop sweat from your forehead and hair entering your eyes (I discovered this in Mallorca when we shaved an eyebrow off a lad)

    Dustin is real and is played by himself.

    Ursula is not really an actress and therefore that is why she is in Fair City.

    You watch it because it distracts you from posting this kinda sh!t on boards for a half an hour

    I'm like that all the time. Such as, where does this plastic cup go after i throw it in the bin? Who puts the water on the drinking machine thingy on the corner? When does he do it etc... I over analyse things anyway, I can't even take a quick walk without looking at some random object and wonder why, or who or how it was invented.

    If red sauce is tomato sauce, what's brown sauce?:confused:

    Animals can communicate to each other they can't talk to each other like us.
    Reflection and refraction are for the spoon thing
    People have eye brows to reduce glare and to cope with winds drying our eyes and to stop sweat
    Dustin the Turkey changed in last few years. Check Wikipedia for who he is.
    Ursula check IMDB
    You watch fair city because you touch yourself at night

    I'm wondering why people don't use google to solve their questions...

    I always wonder about products. Like I spend €1 on a can of coca cola, but when you think about the amount of people involved in just getting that can of cola into my hand it's staggering. From the people who mined the aluminium, to mixing the chemicals, to testing them, to advertisers, designers, marketers, to the shipping companies, the people who designed and built the vending machine, to the sources of all its components... etc, there must be thousands of humans all involved in the chain that results in a can of coke that I will drink and then throw in the bin.

    It makes me wonder how i'm only paying €1 for this can of coke.

    Will this rash ever go away?
    Why to children cry when I do my party trick?
    Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
    Who do RTE make such horrible horrible shows?
    Why do people think Dave McSavage is funny?
    Why is Dave McSavage still alive?
    Why wont Natalie Portman return my calls?
    Who is this homeless guy sleeping in my bed?
    Where did all my money go?
    Will Craig and Rosey ever get back together?
    Has work noticed that I actually do nothing all day?
    Why wont any stations make my TV show?

    Does it get bright at 3am in summer bay? They always have time for breakfasts, surfing, a few drinks, weddings and some sort of intervention with a kid who has gone off the rails, all before they go to school.

    In the Famous Five books: why haven't the international smuggling fraternity realized that they should avoid using Kirrin Island as a UK entry point during the school holidays?

    If every cell in the body is renewed after 7 years, why do tattoos not vanish after 7 years?

    If the fetus is feed solely through the umbilical cord before birth, how come the is no big blood vessel from the bellybutton?

    @L31mr0d:

    I don't wonder why. I mean if it's a few cents in other countries why is it so expensive here?

    Anyway,here goes:

    To make the can, they'd mass-buy the aluminium and/or glass and have a capacity to produce 1K of bottes per hour. 1k X 24 = 24K per day. A week = 168K cans. Assuming no machinery and no depreciation. This should cost €30,000 in total per week. (Normally it'd be 48K cans/per hour)
    (*EDIT* I've read 178K/per hour capcity in some bottling plants)

    Then the mixture is made in the bottling plant also, and this would be mass-produced. Lets say €50,000 for the mixture for 168K cans per day.

    the can of coke comes in a slab, which in turn comes in a pallet which in turn comes in a box which must be taken by a container full of coke with more containers in the ship/airplane. Overall this is very cheap per can, as if it cost €20,000 for all the products, then you'd need more then 20,000 cans for it to cost underneath a euro.

    Can = 1 can
    slab = 24 cans
    pallet = 50 slabs = 1,200 cans
    Container = 50 pallets = 2,500 slabs = 60,000 cans
    So they'd need 3 containers to send that 168K abroad, but mostly they sell it in the country it's produced. Like in Ireland they sell Irish coke, but some shops import cheaper made cans.

    Let's say €10,000 for the trucking cost within the country of Ireland per week.

    And Advertising costs of €10,000 per week in Ireland also.

    Anyway:

    30,000 (Cans)
    50,000 (Mixture)
    20,000 (Shipping/Airplane)
    10,000 (Trucking)
    10,000 (Ads)
    €120,000 vs 168K worth of cans. and this is per week with really harsh estimates...

    @biko:

    I don't know, but tattoos are imprinted heavily on the skin. So I presume that it'd take along time of shedding skin to get rid of it. (100's of years) as we only shed the top part of our skin and it's replaced by what is underneath. Thats my understanding...

    I have no idea and I don't really care....

    A tattoo is not ink on your skin, the ink actualy sits below the top layers of skin, and can just be seen through it. The skin happily flakes off and becomes replaced on the layers above it.

    @Stovelid: There'd be less customs in that island then on main land UK. It's why drug smugglers don't go to Cork harbour to bring in their shipment but to a local beach, where there'd be less of a customs/police there.

    @noblestee: They just have better time structure to their days.
    wrote:

    No. Not unless you pay me.
    wrote:

    Because your party trick was to make children cry
    wrote:
    Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

    Pikachu evolved into the chicken obviously!
    wrote:

    Because people still watch them and it's cheaper then making proper shows, that'd actually be entertaining to watch.
    wrote:
    Why do people think Dave McSavage is funny?

    I've never heard of him, but more then likely he pays people to laugh
    wrote:
    Why is Dave McSavage still alive?

    He's made a deal with the devil
    wrote:

    She's too busy returning mine
    wrote:

    That's a mirror your looking into.
    wrote:
    Where did all my money go?

    Into Lehmann brothers shares. Bad move...
    wrote:
    Will Craig and Rosey ever get back together?

    No. Craig realised he prefered the company of men.
    wrote:

    Your co-workers are thinking the same thing..

    Why no-one has invented an ass scratcher. I mean, it can get really itchy down there, usually right in the groove. And you don't want to put your fingers in there. So why hasn't someone come up with an arse scratcher? Like a blunt hook on a stick or something. Eh?

    Hmmmm.

    :)

    Why do rough-neck, stubbly, east end criminals allow themselves to be terrorized by a small collie then? Why did they never just put a bullet in Timmy the Dog?

    Because they are international drug smugglers, not cunts!

    @Stovelid: If they put a bullet in Timmy the Dog they'd show they have a gun, bring unnessecary attention to themselves and being sent to jail for killing a dog doesn't do much for your reputation. Also, they probably don't want to end life considering they're criminals but not murders.
