    Hello!!

My brother's wedding is in December (1st or 2nd i think) and i want to rent a classy suit. Where abouts is best to go do you think? I'll probably need everything, incl shoes.

So, yeah, nice classy suit, nothing too flamboyant.

How much do these things generally cost? I'll need it for a few days, am i going to be charged by the day? Cos that would suck ass.

Black Tie, I've always found great - I've rented everything from kilts to several dress suits for work and other formal occasions off 'em. The kilt was a bit of hassle, because I ordered in Waterford.

They usually have a decent stock in each store.

Pop in as early as you can, just to get it all sorted, and in case there's something else on the day that could cause hassle (Not likely).

Generally, any time I got anything, I didn't need to have it back in the next day, but it was usually as handy to do so!

Edit: Cost can be anything from €90 to €250 afaik.

Sounds good, just checking the blacktie website, there's a section for ordering a suit and the jacket sizes only go up to 48, where as i'm a 52. Do you think this would be a problem in store?

Honestly, I'd buy before renting from Blacktie

I got my Debs suit from them for about €130 and wasnt happy with it at all

and they're REALLY fussy about you makin changes on collection day

Penneys do great plain black suits for about €50, in bigger sizes
They also do ties, bows, waistcoats

Also try Arnots bargain basement, they do suits for €60

You could prob buy the whole package for about €200, but if you want to rent, I'd suggest payin around €300 for a rental

Yeah, I've heard a few horror stories about Blacktie.

TK Maxx often have large sizes in suits, maybe give them a try.

I'd recommend buying before renting in your case. Won't be much difference in the price. Plenty of reasonably priced alternatives to renting.

What budget do you have in mind?
