My girlfriend wants to buy her wedding dress from www.lightinthebox.com

But I am not sure is that good idea at all as there are many bad reviews about them. Does anyone have experience with them?

I wouldn't advise buying a wedding dress on the internet by just looking at this site.

Most brides to be try on a particular dress or designer range in a physical bridal shop and then try and source it cheaper on the Internet.

With the above web site you are not really seeing what you are getting re. quality etc.

And while it is nice that you are concerned about your fiance's dress buying perhaps you should just leave her to it. Most girls can handle buying their own wedding dress with the help of their bridemaids and mother. You can help by handing over the chq. book!

    hi serge,

i came across the site about 6 months ago as i was after a particular digital camera, i kept bidding on ebay but didnt seem to get the knack of winning, lost every time. I emailed them asking all the questions about the camera and they replyed very quickly. i ordered it.....it took over 8 weeks to get here, co.clare, when it arrived the packaging was badly damaged, it wasnt the exact camera that i ordered, only a slight difference, but it works away well.i decided to order a man utd jersey for my son, his birthday was in august, so i ordered it in june, again i mailed and they informed me that it was the official crested man utd home jersey, 6 weeks later it arrived, not in great condition and not the real deal, just a replica, i personally would not use them for your wife to be weddings dress...considering the delay in shipping...can you imagine

    best of luck

I bought my dress online but after trying it on here and making sure that the place I bought from was listed as an official supplier with the dress designer.

I would definitely not recommend buying a dress she hasn't tried becuase they always look so different on than in pics, and I wouldn't buy from a non-authorised retailer because chances are the dresses will jsut be cheaper copies and material etc won't be good. There are plenty of places in the States that come highly recommended so if she can find her dress on there that miht be an option - www.jaysbridal.net ; www.rkbridal.com ; www.bestbridalprices.com to name a few.
Definitely worth looking into buying online - I saved over 1000 euro!
