What to eat while bulking?

Whats the consensus on what you can eat while bulking? I know I may not be bulking like a professional bodybuilder or anything but I do want to put on a fair bit of additional muscle and I'm getting confused on what exactly I can eat. I know to keep it as healthy as possible but you're allowed more cheat meals or at the least they don't have as bad an effect as if you were trying to loose weight? And do things like white bread and pasta matter as much as the insulin spike won't be as bad because your not in it to loose weight anyway?

Also should I really be worrying about percentages or should I jus eat as much as I can? I do get in 1g of protein per pound of bf but there tends to be alot of carbs in my diet which I find hard to limit.

    Thanks for the feedback!

What to eat while bulking.... MORE!!

Maybe add in a litre of milk as a starting point. That's what I did and I gained a bit. I've now added in another 1,000kcals per day starting today, so it'll be interesting to see where that leaves me in 3 or 4 weeks.

A whole load of milk is one thing that I would highly recommend.Start with 2litres a day top of whatever else you are consuming.
Milk an easy way of getting those extra calories, very cheap and tastes fab!:D

Could you post up your bulking diet for a typical day?

    Well I'll give you today....

    1) Bowl of special K, chicken fillet

    2) 500kcal shake (25g protein, 100g carbs)

    3) Roll with chicken etc, bottle of coke, mars bar

    4) 500kcal shake (25g protein, 100g carbs)

    5) Pork Chops, 2 sausages, potato, brocolli

    6) 700kcal PWO shake (75g protein, 100g carbs)

    7) 1 litre of milk

Not too sure how many kcals that works out to, but I reckon I probably need to be eating more protein, if not more total kcals too. I'll probably throw a scoop of protein into each of those 500kcal shakes tomorrow.

Why the hell would you eat big fat burgers? It's esactly what it says on the tin, fat! Maybe it's just me but i eat very little fat, just alot of carbs and protein for muscle gain, surely eating "big fat burgers" would just make you welll... obese?

Well I have upped my milk intake anyway i usually get in about a litre and half if not 2 litres a day which I really do think is working. Its hard to up the calories in my meals but I am trying to eat as much as I can its just hard to keep it clean since healthy stuff is surprisingly filling! Also getting complaints from the parents over there bein no milk for tea lol!

Thanks for all the info guys this has def. helped alot! Much appreciated :D.

Nothing wrong with big fat burgers, it's "mostly" all beef !
Burgers and training is good for you.
Burgers and watching coronation street is bad.

+1 for the milk. I'm on at least 2 litres a day at this stage and there is nothing like it. Also a fan of the burgers, butcher if you're being strict, chipper if its PWO and lets' face it you can make an excuse for eating anything then.

You certainly look like you're growing for it anyway so you must be doing something right!!
