depending on what you need, photobox seems to get recomended a lot

I can also do stuff for you, have an ftp server and credit card payments etc
and would generally be working to a higher standard, as everything is printer by hand etc, not global settings on a machine

Snapfish does deliver to Ireland, just got a set in the mail. Did a test myself with 3 firms: photobox.ie, snapfish.ie and foto.com.

Photobox has the clearest colors and their delivery was quickest
Foto.com is the cheapest if you order batches of 15
Snapfish upload was by far the quickest.

I am going to use photobox now to get my 2000 pictures printed. I would suggest everyone to do the same as I did to find out themselves which service they like best before ordering loads of prints

Are photobox good for bigger sized prints (e.g. A4) and B&W?

you need to be careful with B&W with any of the online printers

most of them use a colour paper in a mini lab printer which if your not careful will not give you a truly neutral image.

this is because the B&W is being made from colours rather than shades of grey

Why not try them all out. Nearly all of these companies (snapfish, photobox etc) offer their new clients like 20 or so free prints when they register, just pay for p&p.

Thats what i did, signed up for snapfish and photobox and got free prints so i could see the quality difference.

Id recommend photobox over snapfish, definitely.

i've used both Photobox and Foto.com in the past and from what i remember the last time Foto.com was far cheaper than Photobox, Nowaday i do a lot of my printing myself on a Canon 9000 Pro with ridiculous prices for ink, sometimes use the local printers too.
Last time i got photographs printed by Foto.com there was a score mark running down each of the 60 photographs, needless to say i couldn't hand them to anyone and got in touch with them, but in fairness to them they looked into and told me it was a guide wheel that had caused the prob and re-supplied me with blemish free prints, so they're ok to deal with.

    I use foto.com their 30cm X 20 prints for 50c is a steal
