James Bond Theme

Hi all,

Was just looking for some help, I know there's a "what are you wearing for halloween" thread but I thought I should open my own thread as I need ideas for this specific theme.

My friends having a birthday pary soon and she's having a James Bond theme. I don't mean a Casino Royale theme where it'd be easy to just dress up fancy, I mean I have to go as a James Bond character but I've never watched the films so I have absolutely no idea who anyone is and how I'd even beigin dressing up as them! Any ideas? (I'm a girl by the way).

I'm a girl (as I said) and it's not a generic dress up fancy (as I said). We're supposed to dress up as specific characters (as I said) so I'm looking for suggestion on what character would be good.

A fancy dress party full of guys with ironic grins in tuxedos and women in dresses. Basically.

God dammit! Can we stop it with the useless replies about guys in tuxs and girls in dresses! I'm looking for ideas on specific characters, it's not a party full of James Bonds and Bond Girls.

I'm asking about specific characters which I can't think of because I've never watched the bond films, like the bad guys and all that, surely not every Bond film has guys in tuxes, and generic ladies in dresses as the bad guys?

Chill out? Oh okay, I will. Thanks for talking me down from the ledge there, I was really freaking out.

So they're all just tux's and dresses? I can't really imagine that working, I doubt any of the lads even hav tuxes, and they certainly wouldn't be spending money on renting them. This is turning out more difficult than I thought.

Hmm.. well now I really don't know what to do! Cos I did ask her was it a Casino Royale tux's and dresses type thing and she said no way, I'll have to ask her what she had in mind, cos what you's are all describing isn't what I thought would be her kind of thing.
