    Hi There,
We've just bought a Super Kingsize (6 foot) Divan bed. The problem is, I can't seem to find a headboard to fit it that is actually nice!

Anyone either know where you can get headboards for 6 foot beds in the Dublin / Louth / Meath area?

Or even better, does anyone have any experience making your own headboard? Where did you get the matierial - is it worth is??

    Thanks,
    DubShelley

    Hi Dubshelley,

Ive recently been asked by someone to make them a double & a single headboard (normally I just make roman blinds, curtains, etc!) - Ive never made one before but have made pelmets, so Im reckoning it wont be too difficult. I havent bought the supplies yet, but plan to get the MDF cut to size from B&Q, foam from Zhivagos in Finglas and have the fabric already. If you dont want to attempt it yourself, and havent found anything else, depending on how these two turn out, I might be able to help you!

    Best of luck

It can be easier to attach the headboard to the wall rather than the bed itself.

As the poster above says, MDF, Foam, Material, Staple Gun and a couple of buttons if you wish.
