I was at a fashion show last night, and part of the show was the entire new Peter O'Brien Collection for Awear, it's GORGEOUS!

In the shops next Tuesday :)

Ah you will, hope it's not a dissappointment now!

Several of the women I were with thought it was great too, and amazed it was in Awear!

    oh can't wait - what's the coat like ?

i wasn't expecting another collection as I didn't think last year's sold that well. I ended up getting a black cashmere top in the sale at 50% off!

It's not regular A-Wear prices though, much more expensive. I hve 2 coats and 3 dresses from previous years. Hoping I don't like too much this year.

    The website is useless.

I picked up a gorgeous pair of shoes from last year's collection at a cut-rate price. His stuff his actually too *classy* and prob expensive for the regular A-wear shopper.

Can't remember tbh, his was the first of about ten different collections, everyone at my table loved the coat tho.

    Sorry :(

It's up on the website: http://www.awear.ie/winter08.php

Nice stuff... pity there's not more. I love the ruffled blouse, in particular.

    Definitely not enough stuff!!

It's a lovely collection. I was in A-Wear at lunchtime and there were a lot of older glamourous ladies who wouldn't usually be seen dead in A-Wear in buying lots and lots of clothes!

Gorgeous coat but at 250 euro it was a bit too much. Some lovely classic dresses as well and a fab dress which looks like a separate black top and white skirt - very cool looking!

    No suits this year:(

    Nice collection, but very small.

I got the navy coat and the black trousers; both lovely.

Might get the jersey dress and a shirt tomorrow.....hmmmmmmm.

think the dress might be a little old for me though.

All in all this collection has been infinately better for my pocket than previous years!!!

    Super cut on everything though!!!

Did you get the high waisted black trousers?

I'm thinking of getting those, the nude silk shirt, and the blue jersey dress if I can find it in one of the shops.

I saw this clip on Exposé last night, so went into Awear in Grafton St today and I couldn't resist the ruffle blouse and the high waisted trousers!!! Think I might go back on Sat to get the black and white dress if I can stretch my budget.

I want the navy coat and navy sunray pleat dress but I need to ask about shoes. What kind of shoes does everyone wear with navy? In the videos the models wear flat black boots with everything but I always thought black and navy don't look right together.

Would you wear black or navy tights?

I would wear either balck or navy tights and with the coat I would put
    brown boots

There's a bit more in the range than on the website - the cashmere neck-tie sweaters come in a few different colours, for instance. I was a bit disappointed though - they only had the ruffle blouse in ink-blue in the Cork store and they won't be getting the cream version in as it's been booked out by the Dublin stores. Boo! It's lovely on, though, but the ink-blue just wouldn't work with much of my existing wardrobe.

That's about the going rate for cashmere! Unless some remain in store until sale time :)

I got the side button coat and the black and white dress. Love them both. I thought the high waisted trousers didn't suit me, they seemed to stick out a bit on my hips. I tried on the ink silk skirt and love it but there's no blouses left to go with it or the cream one :( I was checking awears website and since its changed from awear.ie to awear.com they don't seem to have listed any of the peter o brien range? When i typed awear into google it came up -

awear.com Gorgeous Range Of AWear Clothing, Paul OBrien Design,Buy Online Now!

I see its been changed to peter o brien now! Does anyone know if the collection is online and where? :( Thanks!

There are some lovely dresses in the sale, but I'll wait for them to get a little cheaper before I buy. They are still a bit on the pricey side.

    The dresses are 30 now
