Seemingly their "internet is still down"
Yeh, it's been down since midway through semester 2 last year hasn't it? Amazing how long it takes to phone someone to fix something isn't it? Particularly when it means that no one can get free subs. I'm tempted to just go into the back and plug the line in myself :p

An announcement on fb by either the su or stables would of been nice though. We were near the front of the queue yesterday and presumed the tickets were going on sale at 5 again today. Ended up having to settle for a Tuesday ticket, wont be able to make it until 5.

The SU doesn't sell any of the Stables tickets!!!! Despite them putting it on their FB and having notices around the place!! :)

Had my last lecture with a lecturer who is retiring after 44 years. Some record.

next time ask the lecturer/tutor if you can quietly sit in the back and use a pc. I know when i supervised labs i often allowed a few people to do this if they asked politely

Yeah that's fair enough, a few of them would just ask you to go down to the back and be quiet, which i'd have no problem with, but majority of them just tell you to leave.

My apartment keeps getting egged in Dromroe. Just saw the people doing it now. They are on the balcony below the one with the Ireland flag if anyone's wondering.

IDEA: Catch eggs, make scrambled eggs.

That, or break their windows. I think you should break their windows ;)

I don't really care that much but the noise is annoying and it's pretty disrespectful to the cleaners.

The basement ones are the best of the worst lot I think- not everyone seems to know they're there

I've recently started to wonder, has the library become a place to catch up on the week's gossip? I know it's always been bad for noise, but it seems to have gotton worse recently.

The SU ones are the worst for me. That smell seems to be around still, have no idea what it is but it makes my eyes water.

Could the library please fix some of the sockets that aren't working?

They are without a doubt. All they seem to do is mop the floor and not actually clean the jacks...which in fairness is what needs to be cleaned

I have never found an ethernet port that has worked below the top floor.

Was in there yesterday and space was at a premium. Thought my luck was in when i saw a table free but all three sockets wouldn't work.

Since they revamped the library it feels like there are less computers now, there's always queues. I generally go to kemmy now.

Oh god do I empathise! I'm working on an essay in the library today and TWICE I've had to ask people to please stop talking. Both times, I got the dirtiest looks and two of them sniggered at me...people, ffs, you're not five anymore! Have the cop on to conduct your conversations in one of the MANY cafes on campus!

Can you not report them to security?

Security are there for show. They tell them to be quiet, then walk away. They just continue on talking once they've gone. Pointless. They're mainly there just to protect library property.
