Non Weight-Bearing Exercise

    Looking to see if anyone has any intresting non-weight bearing exercises for leg strength. Recovering from a knee injury am on machine weights. Anyone got anything different as im finding them a bit boring.

    Straight Leg Lifts

    Strengthens the quadriceps. Lie on the floor. Lift one leg about 6-12 inches off the floor and hold for 10 seconds flexing the thigh muscles. Lower and repeat 10 times. Switch legs, repeat 5 times and work up to 10 sets of 10 repetitions. You can do this anywhere - even while watching TV.

    Depends on what you are recovering from tbh as some exercises will make your condition worse.

    recovering from severe "bony bruising"

    am swimming and aqua jogging, but theyv startd me on leg weights aswel as the muscle has just been falling off them the last few weeks!

    they recon ill be trying light jogging by end of october, and mayb back squatting ect nearer the end of november! tis killing me cos my squatting was really coming on!
