Quinsy

I've just been told I've quinsy. Been really sick all weekend, vomiting, headaches, sore throat, shivering, not sleeping - and went to doctor today thinking it was tonsilitus which I'm susceptible to. I can't eat anything with nausea but I don't think I could even if I wasn't nauseous as my mouth is really painful.

I was just wondering does anyone know of anything I can get to ease the pain in my mouth? I've alot of absesses down my throat and mouth ulcers at front of my mouth, feeling really bad to be honest :( I'd really appreciate any tips on anything that worked for anyone else here to ease the pain, I've currently been precribed: Serptin (sp?) Amoxcillan and Flagyl.

Thanks for any help, just feeling rubbish right now and I'll try anything that could help.

no, should I have? She said I have a few on my tonsils. I've to ring her everyday to let her know how it is.

U have a few of them??

I only work with kids, but we drain them all. Dunno bout adults. But if I had quinsy, I'd be at A+E.....let alone " a few of them"!

Very temporary relief, but after a recent bout of glandularfever and giant tonsils, you can't beat mr.freeze or another icelol. (provided you can swallow somewhat)

Just rang my doc and she said shes hoping I won't have to get them drained, but thats why she told me to keep her updated daily during the week.

Thanks for the ice lolly tip tree, definitely going to try it.
