How many previous owners in the UK?

    Hello,

    I will be putting up my 87 VW Golf 1.8GL auto for sale soon, but I wonder how many Scottish owners it had ? Is it easy to look up this data and how do I go about it? Cheapest option of course! I have the original reg and the first owners name.

    Previous keeper details for your vehicle can be got from DVLA Swansea.

    Scroll down till you find

    Download ‘Request for information (V888) - members of the public' (PDF, 188K)
    As the current registered keeper of a vehicle you can request information about the history of your vehicle and previous keepers. You must complete the relevant sections on the V888 form and send it with the fee of £5.00 to the address on the form.

    Can take quite a while as most classic car owners use it, and for the £5 fee it is fantastic value.
