Silly Itunes

So I put an album onto Itunes, threw it onto the Ipod, but when I was listening to it in the car it seems to cut the last 5-10 seconds off the track. I tunes and windows notes the song as being 3m53s long. VLC player sees its true length of 3m59s.
Its doing this on this one album only. Its not a crossfade issue, that im sure.

Any ideas how to fix it, or make windows realise its true length?

If you right click on a song and click the options tab you can choose what time it ends at, maybe try that?

From what I can see that only allows me to shorten the song, not add seconds to it.

Ok, well I'll assume then it's MP3 (LAME), itunes/ipod does have certain issues with MP3 (LAME) encoded tracks, these problems are not always universal and may only effect specific tracks like in your case.

If you download MP3tag you should be able to convert the ID3tags to a different version (try either ID3 2.3 or 2.4) and this may fix your problem. I had quite a few similar problems so just ended up converting my collection to AAC [of course all my music is backed up as Lossless so that was the easies thing for me to do]

Cool, ill have a look at that. Firstly I think ill try aquire a different copy of the album. Might save me the effort in the end.
