Bank & building soc mergers.

    With the banking crises in full swing is the posibility of mergers between banks and building societys increasing over the next few months also would any merger have a possitive effect with the share price for soley the Larger bank with any merger.

    I wouldn't have thought so. The share prices of all the banks are down. Nobody wants bank shares. Any increase in share value after a merger would be small and probably short lived.

    Well Loyds took over Halifax. First the share price slightly increased. Then droped to the lowest its ever been. Slight recovery then back down again. The market being the way it is does not help either.
