    Howya,

    Finally it's Friday. Does anyone have a plan of what they want to shoot this weekend?

    Maybe this would be worth a look in Dublin: http://www.oktoberfest-dublin.com/

    Where do you normally like to get out and about with your cam for the weekend?

    <looking for ideas>
    Cheers

    That might be worth a visit, weather depending. Of course, don't forget that the IFSC is private property and they can restrict or even ban photography in there.

    Me, I've football tonight and tomorrow to photograph, to keep me occupied.

    Not so much a plan but I previously pulled together a list of locations recommended here on the boards forum (people may recognise bits of their previous posts).

    My intention was to create a tick off list of 'been there done that' or places to investigate but I've really to get out of the starting blocks with it.

    I list it below without particular recommendation i.e. if you get chased off any one of the locations below by a crazed 90 year old granny with a machete then don't be blaming me! Search for the original poster and blame them :D

    Dublin(ish) -
    * Dun Laoghaire - (Incl Peoples Park)
    * Powersourt gardens up from Eniskerry village
    * Sally Gap
    * Botanic Gardens
    * The deer in the Pheonix park
    * Howth (Howth is absolutely fantastic if the sun is shining. Go up to the Hurdy Gurdy museum on Abbey Street and walk to the railings - you have the whole of Howth below you.)
    * Balbriggan
    * UCD
    * Trinity
    * Sandymount - Off the beaten track in Sandymount, and up towards Poolbeg, is always a great spot / Sandymount seafront area is nice too. Also, it is possible to take a walk to the Lighthouse there.
    * Grand Canal
    * Anywhere west of Ranelagh Bridge makes good photos
    * Dalkey/Killiney are always worth a look. Dalkey town is nice, and then a nice walk up Killiney hill, to have a nice view out over the bay.
    * Dun Laoghaire and Sandycove are beautiful too, all the way along the coast - the pier in Dun Laoghaire, the 40ft for the people swimming, etc
    * Car park of the digital hub on thomas street. loads of old industrial stuff, and some weird contraptions (permission for going in?)
    * Clontarf - Bull Wall is great.
    * Connolly Station is fab also.
    * Mount Usher Gardens is worth a look in Wicklow
    * Glendalough

    Hope that gives some options to you. Any more to add to this list folks?

    "THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS SCOTCHTOBERFEST! YA USED ME!"

    Anyway, I've my first pro shoot for a band this weekend. Might be next weekend. Regardless, I'm pretty excited. Need some money for like, food and that. :D
    Might head out to somewhere on Sunday morning too, to catch the dawn, i the weather holds!

    Have a gig tonight which i am looking forward to. Gig photography is something i very much enjoy and i should have no issue getting right up the front tonight. I also have a nice contact with the band in question, so anything i get that i am happy with i can send on to them!

    After that is a club night in town, a friend is DJing so more pics and more dancing. Would like to get some small scale stuff done on Saturday that i have been planning.

    Sunday i am on the opposite side of the lens as i will be doing a bit of modeling for a mate ( large scale zombie horror i believe ).

    Going to my urchins soccer match with a borrowed lens and Monopod, this'll be my third attempt, unfortunately I won't have same weather as the last few Saturday mornings.

    Not too windy today so I want to take flower photos. Meeting a friend for lunch & must also get waterproof boots. Lots of processing to catch up on & am reading a book called "Secrets of the digital darkroom" by Peter Cope.
