Electric Razor

Can anyone reccomend an electric razor just for shaving face/beard area? I want one that can also be set to leave different lengths of stubble (eg. 6,8,10 mm). Had a look in boots today but not sure exactly which ones do this.

I'm looking for a decent, good quality one that will last me so I guess price isn't really a big issue.

    Thanks.

I've tried my fair share of shavers and I cannot recommend Phillips enough!

I got a Philishave for xmas 2 years ago and it's still going strong. It comes with a beard trimmer which leaves like 1mm of stubble which is ace (I always get a rash if I go for clean shaven). You can just run the beard trimmer over your face every day or two for permanent stubble

Unfortunatly the Philishave brand is gone now, so you should look out for one of the waterproof Nivea ones which would be the more up to date model of what I have.

Use a braun myself and find it much better than a philishave, which I used in the past. I think the rotary blades were causing the irritation, but I never managed to get a decent shave out of it.

I think it's different strokes for different folks.

If you are looking at buying now, I'd say hold on for two months as Boots and Argos normally do a price war come December. Also if you have a boots card and are buying a decent one you'll clean up on the points.

Great advice, never thought of the Boots card. Sure I'll wait until December then, in the meantime I'll have a good look for one and then see what prices are like in a couple of months.

    Thanks lads :)
