    Hi there,

    Haning real problems with my employers at the moment and need advice. Salary review came up there in august, happy with what I got. Then in the first pay packet at the end of august got some back pay aswell. Aske din advance what I would be getting was told and thought it was wrong so rang the payroll a couple of times cos figures just didn't add up.
    After a while the fella at other end gets stroppy and tells me it'll all make sense when I get my payslip, of course, mistakes were made and I was overcharged on tax, pension contribution and PRSI. Instead of being charged for the 2400 I got, they deducted these at an earning of 8000.
    Rang last Monday to tell the payroll they made a mistake, he put me on to another department which basically said if I want to get my pension money back, I won't get it all because of the way the market is. So basically I've to pay for their mistake.

    Any advice appreciated, could I go to any employment board or something and get this sorted out?

    Escalate it to his boss. Are you able to find out who his boss is?
