I never really had a high sex drive and when it came to my wifely duties, i would look after my husband but i could take it or leave it but lately I can't stop thinking about sex. Everyday for the past few weeks, it's all I have on my mind.

I'm 35 and know it's about this age that us women peak but for health reasons gave the pill up a few months ago, so don't know if I'm at my peak or the pill had my sexual urges suppressed.

If I am at my sexual peak, how long will it last?
Either way, i'm enjoying the feelings and I don't hear the hubby complaining.

That is sailing close to medical advice, although I imagine even a doctor will tell you "we don't know" on this one.

So, can we keep this to people's experiences?

Sounds like a pretty good problem to have, so long as there's someone there to ''support'' you:)

Have you had an IUS fitted instead of the Pill?
I found the IUS sent my libido into overdrive.

I wonder what i'll be like in a few years time when i reach my peak, cos i cant get enough of it, ever. It just makes ya feel good the whole time. Enjoy it while it lasts OP. You should go away for a few weekends, really enjoy this new experience.

Women always hit their sexual peak in mid to late 30's. Enjoy it while it lasts, as the menopause is the next big thing.

Jeeee Zus.... So I'm 35, am at my sexual peak, have neither married or had children yet, and the next big thing for me is the menopause? Eh don't think so Manties...Jayzus lads go easy...I'm planning on kids and a lot more besides before that.
Yes coming off the pill probably did it for you. It can suppress your sexual appetite.
Enjoy yourself, I'd say you've a good 10 -15 before anything like what the guy above said can happen will.

Personally the pill did supress my sex drive. I used to joke that that was how it worked. You couldnt be bothered having sex.

Im 30++ and yeah, your sex drive can take off like a rocket. It doesnt happen for everyone, but for me it did. Going on quite a few years now. Enjoy it, its fun. :)

When my ex came off the pill she turned into a tiger.

She was 23 at the time so I don't think it's an age thing.

It could be a bit of both, I actually had this conversation yesterday with a psychologist friend of mine and she said that women often reach a sexual peak after the change. A lot of journals list it as mid thirties though. The pill can totally surpress your libido too so it could be that. All in all who cares what it is and just celebrate :p
