I picked up a resistance band recently. This site gives a few exercises if you scroll half way down.

Anyone use resistance bands? Good or bad results? I was thinking it could be handy for times when travelling or working out at home. Mine is "medium" resistance... but haven't tried it out yet so not sure what that will feel like.

Any suggestions for other interesting / useful exercises to do with resistances bands?

    Just looking for ideas.. Cheers.

Never used them myself I'm afraid but have read a bit regarding them being used for sprints in American Football. Are they long enough for around your waist and another object? The seem like a usefull bit of equipment anyway.

you can pretty much do most exercises with them, just take some imagination.

bicep curls, prone rows, shoulder press, lateral and frontal raise, upright row, triceps extension, reverse fly, chest press, use them during pushups to make it harder, squats, lunges, calf raise etc.

they are a handy piece of kit.

is yours a red colour then?
you'll prob find you'll be well able for the extra strong one on most things.

I haven't unpacked them yet so unsure of the length.

Thanks for the links. I didn't realise these bands were so versatile. Looking forward to giving them a bash, perhaps tonight.

I was just thinking they may be a good gift for the parents at xmas.

    there are all over ebay.
    thats where i got mine.

they are a good present alright cos some ppl are intimidated by weights and they dont take up much room etc.
