I have 3 HDMI connections on my TV. Its a Sony Bravia 46" LCD-TV KDL-46X3500. I also have a HDMI cable if i went for the first link i provided i would not need anything else.

My video card is a Asus 8800GS, if you need any more info please let me know. But im sure my video card can support HDMI video if i give it the correct connection.

I have a DVI to HDMI cable going from HTPC to TV. Got it from ebay for less than a tenner delivered and its top quality. Same thing as your second link. I'd rather use a direct cable like that rather than adding a dongle (first item).

I've had no problem when using a dvi to hdmi cable for my projector or tv, so you should be fine, no sound over it but you know that

    Ok thanks guys,

What I have done is bought the Adaptor from link 1. I wanted something right away as I need it for the weekend. It cost €14 which was a-lot cheaper then the HDMI to DVI. If I had more time I would have gone onto E-bay.

I have a HDMI to HDMI so I think im sorted. Now just to find my sound jack cable, think its in the attic :)

It should all work and i hope its going to be good quality.

Got this working yesterday and its so good. Will be watching more movies on my 46" sony from now on.

Have the sound pluged into the 4in1 so not using the TV sound which makes a nice differince.
