With the continuing borked nature of the beers thread, here's a new one.
A little update on what I am thinking about the beers as of late.
Alot of other forums seem to be beering now, which is great. I think there's enough going on beers wise for me to rest the official Noc beers until after Christmas. I have zero interest in our beers negatively affecting other beers (we've already clashed with one).
Feel free to organise baby noc beers in the meantime, in this thread, but I think a long run in will help us organise something a bit different and fun for the next one, probably sometime in January.
If anyone has any ideas for the next official noc beers, let me know here and I'll consider it.

I agree that too many beers and meet-ups is ruining the fun though, but too much of a good thing can spoil it and all that0 -

I've missed the last beers or 2, September was not a good month for me, finding a new place to live, moving locations in work, rehearsals, training, all in all a ****storm of no time!
October is somewhat better, moved into a new place across the road from my place of work, work-move is completed (although thanks to my idiot "division head" my lab is still not set up), and the show is over end of October, so I'll just have training thereafter.

Also SDoom, you were right about "Transformers:Animated" it rocks the Kazbah!!! And now Grimlock stands sentinel over my room in my absence, and thinks about eating the small plastic cow that grazes lazily in front of him....Jazz is there too

thurs-fri suits me. Actually prefer Friday so it gives time for the body to feel right again before Monday. Christ that makes me feel old

10thI'm happy with Fibbers. Fri may be a little early, I will get back to you on it (soon). I also have one eye on Dominion (again never been there b4).
Dominion is a bit pricier and the dress code is a bit more extreme. Not for everyone...

Dominion would be a no no for a boards beers I feel, while people might chance their arm for a fibbeers they wouldn't with dominion.0 -

You are right man. I would definitely be up for it in the next couple of weeks or so, Fri sounds great. Just to give me and everybody else a little bit more time.
Why is that with Dominion? Just curious as in the near future it would be a great place to go. We did have a chat about it recently. From what I have been hearing of it so far, it is highly recommended. Also The Foggy Dew, Hogans, Eamon Dorans and The Neptune could be possibilities.
We could always have a few in all of them, just to get the feel of them. 0 -

Because Dominion is an industrial Goth night club as opposed to fibbers which is a rock bar. Very important difference
We've already done the foggy and EDs, and will prob do ED's again, but not the foggy, as it isn't really suitable for a big gang of people. Just the layout of the place, as a pub it's lovely.0 -

The Foggy Dew, Dorans and Fibbers are all regular rock/metal bars, with Fibbers leaning a bit towards goth but not very far (usually just emo kids and a few older Manson/NIN types) while Dominion is a goth/industrial club which is a bit more extreme. Fibbers is like Diet Dominion if ya know what I mean? So tis not everyones cup of tea and not really a good idea for a forum beers0 -

Doran's - Pop & Rock with the odd metal song.
Fibbers - Rock & Metal with the odd 80's pop tune creeping in. :pac:
Dominion - Industrial, Goth techno type stuff, electro etc...
As Doom said, Dominion isn't really suitable for a general beers. 0 -
