Restaurant in Algarve - can't remember the name - HELP!!

A long shot, but here goes

I'm looking for the name of a restaurant in the Algarve (not in Faro or Vilamoura) that is set into a rock face.

There is a sandy cove at the restuarant and a cosy restaurant looking out over the sea.

It's about a 45 minute drive west of Vilamoura and may be part of a hotel complex.

Anyone know where this is??

(June 2003) "Located on the cliffs edge just off the Albufeira main square. Head towards the tunnel but head up the hill rather than to the beach. Its west of the Sol E Mar hotel so just follow the coast. I had a beautiful steak Portuguese and my wife had a seafood kebab. Both were very good indeed. The views from the terrace where we ate were breathtaking and very relaxing. You are perched about 100 metres above the beach on a cliff face so don't eat on the terrace if you are scared of heights!! They have an extensive menu and fresh seafood from the large tank downstairs. This was a more expensive meal but worth it for the view and food. I wish now we had gone back another night. Also the home made apple pie was not too shabby either. Service was very attentive and friendly. I would recommend this place highly. 63? for 2 people but wine, 2 mains, 2 desserts, wine, coffee. beer etc, a good treat"

I don't think so - the restaurant was only 20ft raised up above the beach. You could only get to it by a lift I think.

The beach I refer to was only a small cove, you could walk down the stairs from the restuarnt to it.

Arghh!! Really enjoyed the meal I had there but was 3 years ago and I had too much vino tinto!

I think their logo it a skin boned fish, would that be it?

This sounds like Prainha Club in Alvor. Was there last September and its an amazing spot. Particularly the beach bar/restaurant.

u take a life carved out of the rock and the restauraunt is on stilts with low ceilings. it is in the prainha resort. the name im sure is caneco. algarve is full of beach restaurants, many with even better views than this one.

i recommend, evaristo, albufeira area.
