    Hi,

Does anyone know of any shops that sell cake decoration supplies like chocolate cake toppers, sugar flours, sprinkles, marzipan figurines, etc.

Something like what this ebay shop offers, only in Ireland..

I have tried in the baking sections of the main supermarkets (Tesco, Superquinn and so on), but they don't have a great selection.

    thanks,
    Anty

as said, cake box (dun laoghaire) specialises in cake decoration. Actually, they say it on their website: "We stock the largest range of Cake decorating and Sugarcraft equipment and materials in Ireland".the anvil (bray) and kitchen compliments (dublin city) also have supplies.

Would anyone know of a wholesalers in Ireland that sells boxes/boards/food colourings and general cake decorating supplies? The places mentioned above are quite expensive and don't sell in bulk.

Buying on the net from UK would be the cheapest. Some on-line shops have good discounts on bulk purchases and very reasonable postage charges.

These guys sell in bulk and offer free delivery for orders over a certain amount. I have used them before and have never had a problem.

cakesandco.ie in Blackrock sell customised iced decorations for around €10. Buy ready to roll white icing in supermarket. Bake a cake eg lemon sponge cake which is straightforward. A 8 inch cake takes just over two packets of icing.

Stay away from the cake box Dun Laoighre and under no circumstances give them your card details by phone. Had a very bad experience with them taking unauthorised charges from my account. Only seen after the fact that there are loads of extremely poor reviews on various ratings sites about this place and their service

Oh My God the same happened to me I have reported them to the consumer association. I only saw all the negative reviews after they shafted me as well.
