Their a brilliant AEG arnt they, theres a few small things to note about them though, the wiring connections at the fuse are prone to breaking on them, its a simple fix. and the bushings are 7mm nylon. as soon as i got mine i slapped in some bearings and soldered up that wiring. its well and truely due a service at this stage but its never let me down and has had a serious amount of BBs through it.,
VFC use a smart spring loaded shim idea on these that makes life a lot easier when you shim it., the receiver itself is very durable and mine hasnt a mark on it, love the trades too and they even put them on the outter barrel under the RIS where ya cant even see it.

Do you get both inner barrels with the dx or is there the 10' and 14.5' outer barrels only?

You get both inner and outer barrels just like the VFC SCAR DX pack, it would have been nice to have an extra hop up too to make changes quicker, I'm not too confident with hop up units at all, I don't like them and they don't like me.

Great news, thanks for the info.
Guess I'll have to pick up another hop. Would it take generic hopups or is it redesigned one like the SCAR?

its the standard hopup system though so you will be able to pic one up nice and handy,

its really easy to change a barrel in them too, just push out the front body pin and the upper receiver comes right off., (the pin doesnt come all the way out of the receiver, so dont hammer it or anything)

Yep Vtec, you were bang on about the wiring in the RIS, very poor indeed. The size of the fuse in that tight space is crazy, one wire just snapped off the fuse when I was trying to put the RIS back on. Think I'll go about getting that re wire done tomorrow. Now to try and find a good quality crane type stock.

can i ask what type tripod you have on the 416

Its a bi pod from a Well L96 that I had lying around, its a bit loose on the Maruzen L96 so I use it on the SCAR and 416 the odd time.
