Anyone played new fifa yet? its very impressive looking wise and gameplay is enjoyable... especially like the fact they have most leagues in world, was playing as Drogheda 2nite, my mate plays for them pretty funny to see his stats and face on the game!

What everyone else think? Especially like the free live trial, picked premier league for mine... ronaldo tops of form!

very impressed must say, it has come on leaps and bounds over the years and it's giving pro evo a run for its money, must give you a game sometime flynner.

    already on your psn: axlsnake

I like it a lot and is an improvement over FIFA08 which I loved.

Player off the ball movement is realistic.

Even harder to score. The finesse shot is still useless. Not gone on the new custom tactics. Tried a few drastic changes out of curiosity and could'nt see the change.

Has a few bugs, Newcastle are actually a good team :D and Michael Owen is over-rated. At least the last part is true to life.

Overall I am happy with it and will be playing it for a full year before replacing, just like 08.

Its a improvement over fifa 08 for sure, Goal keeper is better and its harder to score from corners and crossing the ball in.

There seems to be more weight on the ball making it feel more realistic, sometimes I feel it gets over crowded in midfield.

overall best fifa in a long time.

It's good - an improvement over last year's FIFA and PES.

    However it's not great (I'd mark it a 7-8 /10).

1.) AI in the outfield players is decent, at best. An improvement on last year, but still not good enough. In particular the AI (especially on a player controlled team) seems to be completely oblivious to the phrases "run into space" and "pass into space". This has been a major bugbear for me in all previous FIFA's, and has not been improved on again.
It's particularly annoying in the "Pro" mode. We have a "Call for Pass" button and a "take a shot, mate" button, but nothing for "Pass ahead of me". It's galling to see large open patches of green to run into but knowing that calling for a pass will only result in a pass-to-feet.

2.) Some minor bugs. In the "Pro" season mode, there are num, erous bugs in the match "aims". Some are typos/poor wording ("Have 3 shots" actually means 3 shots on target) others are incorrect statistics from the match compared to the stated aims. Won a match 2-0 but failed "the win by 2 goals" aim. Had 5 shots on target, "Have 3 shots" was failed. Many more. I haven't noticed any bugs in the actual game engine, yet.

3.) Pro camera is poorly implemented. It's view is either too far out you lose a lot of perspective, or too close in that your player obscures too much of the screen. Also the transition between the two can switch your "north pole" which can result in your player's run curving left or right unless you correct for it. This sort of forced movement correction due to camera changes is annoying in platformers and just as annoying here.

4.) "Movement on rails" has been mostly removed, but still happened a few times.

I am enjoying the game, and the above are what I feel are holding this game back from being a great game. It is a GOOD game, and I'd recommend it, but with PES now having a "Be a Legend" mode, I'm not sure if I'll be playing it next month.

Sorry, had to pull you on this.

Are you joking? The finesse shot if anything is too easy to score from. Anything around the D flies into the top corner and finishing has a success rate of about 8/10 when holding the finesse button.

Thanks for the details on this, I'll think I'll just get PES and not bother with this.
