I hope someone out there can help.

Where would be a good place - in Dublin ideally - to buy lighting equipment stands, umbrellas, softboxes, clamps, i.e. strobist end rather than studio flash kit.

If not Dublin / Ireland, then where online? I imagine that postage / packaging for this type of stuff is significant.

    Thank you.

mpex.com do strobist kits... I've gotten stuff there before... no problems.

Mpex are one of the most known crowds for the strobist 'gear' as far as I know, you can pick up a lot of the kit on eBay too for cheaper, if you don't mind buying in bits and pieces - I'd probably prefer buy it all in one go though, tbh.

In Dub, Gunns can get you in a lot of the bits and pieces, stands, etc, as I'm sure most of the shops can, but expect to be paying more than what the P&P of the stuff online would cost.

Edit: Thinking back, I'm not sure if Mpex are the place strobist recommend, but they do link to someplace that sells all the kit you need in one go... Could be it.

It is mpex... they do 'strobist' kits... everything you need in one box... I've gotten two so far... no complaints.
