vec grant how is it payed out ??

    Hey guys i got my vec grant and btea aswell is this allowed ?? also curious how does the vec pay the grant is it through your bank account as far as i remember i didnt give my bank details??:confused:

    I know at my college last ear the grant arrived in a couple of installments via a cheque to the Finance Office that we had to collect. Presume it's the case for most people as they never ask for bank details.

    Hi there. I'm getting a BETA and full VEC grant, these 2 payments are allowed at the same time and does not effect each other. the VEC payments is paid in 3 installments, in my case around 2200.00 every 3 months. and the beta each week without the need to sign on, as so i may attend classes. under the beta you can also get rent allowance (means tested) via your local HSE office. and fuel allowance. in some cases you may also get travel allowance if not getting rent allowance. studentfinance.ie
