This problem started at leaving cert.Basically i find that my stomach makes noises , not even stomach rumbleing but it feels like my bowl is where the noises are coming from! i find that when im thinking about it im sweating and in e.g a 2 hour lecture it can be uncomfortable and very embarrassing . Last week i didnt go to like 4 hours because i was afraid my stomach or bowl or whatever would be making noises:( can any one help me?

ok well first off everyones stomacvh makes noises but this os obviously a bit more exagerated in your case.
yo may and i stress may have ibs(irritable bowel syndrome) which is caused by foods that basically you dont agree with.
im in d.i.t as well, id advise you to see the campus doctor and discuss your problem with them, there is no need for this to keep you from lectures and it will probably just mean ht you'l have to make simple changes in your diet.
but go to the doctor, its free and their very helpfull

and i know that it might not seem like your hungry but fill yourself up anyways!!

I found last year that if I skipped my breakfast, my stomach was noisy in the afternoons.
So now I make sure I always get a bowel of cereal.

Also tea has the same affect for me. I wouldnt normally drink it. Yesterday I had a cup out of boredom before a 2 hour lecture and I was rumbling so much during the lecture, thought my stomach was going to explore.

They're the only instances that effect me so I try to avoid them.

Have a look at your diet and see if your eating regularily or if you've any food tolerance.

my stomach reacts differently to different foods as I;m sure yours does.

On Wednesday all I ate was Shreddies and toast and pizza and my stomach was making horrendous noises as well as me farting all day..... so, I think it may be to do with all the wheat I was eating. My dad and sister have wheat intolerance and he's always cracking one off so I think it may be the same for me.

On that day it got really bad I could just feel my stomach filling up with gas and lucjily I was in a position to let nature take it's course. The more you hold it in, the worse the noises get.

Also, sometimes when I have banana in my porridge the same thing happens - i looked it up online and I found out that fruit and cereal can ferment almost inthe stomach and create lots of wind.

I also avoid some pulses (like lentils) which don't agree with me.

Keep a diary of what you eat and how your stomach reacts to different foods. Then avoid these foods before class.

Had this problem when I moved to Germany for college, think it was the change in diet and the fact I was eating more carbs and my body told me 'no way!' Maybe write a food/bowel diary and show it to your GP? It's probably just eating patterns that can be easily changed and cured. Fizzy drinks/caffeine might have an effect too.

"They" (I dont know who they are!) say that peppermint tea helps with wind and settles your stomach!

I used to suffer from this in college too and still do sometimes in work. Try and not let it get to you too much, your not alone with this problem!!!

    go to the doctor.
you could have a bug in your stomach that cane be treated with antibiotics.
You may need to get the camera to find what it is

You've been advised a number of times to go to your doctor. So yes, it would be a good idea to go to your doctor.
