I was going to a fancy dress ball and needed my hair to be blue. I have naturally extremely blond hair and I put a wash out blue dye in and I can't get it ou!! I have washed it three times so far and it just barely barely lightened it. Anyone know what i should use to get it out :/ ?

first, do you have highlites or have used a lightening product like bleach in ur hair before? as those wash in wash out colors LOVE prelightened hair and become almost impossible to get out! i suggest you try using a strong anti-dandruff shampoo as they cleanse the hair really well, but you may need to get the color stripped out unfortunately :(

stripping is not as bad as it sounds honest! ask any DECENT hairdresser to do a cleanse on it and it should take the blue out, basically, they use some powdered bleach, weak peroxide and a conditioning shampoo, mix them together, and voila! in most cases, the color just washes out with the mix, very common in places with bad water, where blonde hair takes on a green tinge, you'll be fine :)

Try Head and Shoulders or Johnsons baby shampoo. I used these many times to get temporary colour out of my hair! :)

use babyshampoo without any water. Think about it, stronger minus the water. Use a good half bottle of it neat on your hair.

I have naturally dark hair and bleached it to get it blue before. The blue dye said it would wash otu completely after 5/6 shampoos. 3 hours later after washing my hair and it had gone a tint of green.
Just ended up dying my hair black

Fairy Liquid is also great for stripping hair. You could also try ketchup - it gets rid of the green tinge from chlorinated swimming pools so it's worth a try.
You'll soon have the cleanest hair in the country :)

No, honestly - it's well documented that ketchup revives blond hair after swimming in chlorinated pools. Put it on wet hair and leave for few minutes, then rinse.

Here's just one of the previous threads about it: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055337496&highlight=ketchup

How about one of those clarifying shampoos, they're pretty good for getting stuff out. Neutrogena make a fairly strong one.

Mix pantene shampoo with baking soda and try that.
Pantene is known for stripping colour (hairdressers warned me not to use the notmal one on coloured hair) and baking soda removes build up
