    69 all out. Jesus wept.

What sort of a pitch is it?

Must be a really ****ty wicket. And Namibia are currently 67/7. So they'll get a first innings lead which will mean that they are guaranteed to be in the final regardless of what happens

Ireland 69 all out, Namibia 119 all out.

I wonder did the home team prepare a result wicket, or was it just damp & then eased.

Either way this match isn't going four days.

Second innings, Niall O'Brien gone without a run on the board. This match will be over tomorrow most likely.

160-9 in second innings, I think it was 50 run lead, will be tight....or not! IU believe that Namibia are in the final whatever happens, we must win and then beat Kenya to join them.

Yes indeed - even if the pitch was a "homer", Rankin did well on his comeback. I wonder how hot it was over there and what the humidity was - it's hard enough playing here in the sun let alone in Africa!

Off to a good start against Kenya. Ireland need to have the first innings lead and win the match to go thru to the final

O'Brien century puts Ireland in command
    Saturday, 11 October 2008 18:53

A century from Niall O'Brien put Ireland in control of their Intercontinental Cup match against Kenya in Nairobi.

At the end of the first day, Ireland have advanced to 282 for three in the first innings with O'Brien making 135 off 235 balls, a knock that included 17 fours.

Kenya won the toss and put Ireland in to bat and the visitors made a terrible start when captain William Porterfield went for just one run.

O'Brien steadied the ship and was supported at the crease by Alex Cusack, who scored 42, and Andre Botha, who is not out on 65.

Botha and Kevin O'Brien (23) saw Ireland through to the close of play.

A win for Ireland would put them into the final against Namibia, which will take place in South Africa next month.

63-1 - Johnston takes the first scalp of the second innings.

A great display so far by the lads, they deserve now to take the game & go to the final.

Kenya close on 146/2 Tikolo on 41*

Hopefully the Irish bowlers can get a good rest then really attack them tomorrow.

Ireland with a 246 run lead, going into the final day (I think). But need to win, a draw is no good thanks to the 2 rain affected draws from earlier in the league

    Kenya currently 168-5

superb victory, this team really know how to pull it out of the fire, after the impossible win over bermuda in the 2020 qualifiers then namibia and now this they're really superb when the pressure is really on.
can't wait for the 2020 world cup next year.
