Just a few questions on Sky HD in Ireland.

    What channels do you get?

Are BBC HD and CH4 HD ever going to broadcast to the Irish and if not can you tune in manually?

When you order SkyHD do you pay the full 120 upfront or do you pay 75 to them and the 50 to the installer when they turn up?

I already have 3 other Sky boxes 1 multiroom 1 sky plus and the other on freesat, so obviously my LNB is full as its only a quad, will i be able to ask the installer for an octo lnb? And do you think ill get charged for one?

    Thanks for the help!

Nothing much worth speaking about unless you have a sports and\or movie sub.

BBC HD is FTA , and available on other channels, so you can view but not record it. CH 4 is FTV and not available with an Irish card.

You pay Sky in full upfront.

I got them to suppy an octo as part of the installation at no extra charge. On the day, I gave the installer €20 cash to run two lines from this to my living room for my HTPC.

Yes, provided you're not getting a Multiroom subscription (boxes for more than one room).

A one-off charge of €37.50 applies for not using phoneline.
