    Hey Folks.

I recently sold a driver to a guy in the UK using eBay.

I'm just wondering does anyone know the best way to send it over?
I will package it well and fashion some kind of a box but will an post send it over for me or would I need to use SDS?

Not sure on whether or not An Post will do it - but for packaging, I know DHL do a good triangular box for sending large drawings and documents.
You may be able to get something like that big enough for a driver, maybe try a stationary store.

It helps prevent the package get squashed as can happen to regular boxes & even tubes.

Go into McGuirks and ask for a box as they always have a few left overs from deliveries for returns etc.

Then just pack with news paper and you are sorted.

Cheers guys! I actually have a couple of old boxes that the irons came in so I think I'll use those.
Good idea about mcGuirks though! I'll keep that in mind.

I guess I'll just bring it into the post office and see what they say.

Sorry for being a bit of a Killjoy but the packaging needs to be "approved".

I had a problem with the Royal Mail and they asked me to send them the packaging that I'd used. They said that it wasn't suitable (actually it was) and sent me their guidelines.

So if the item gets damaged you may find it hard to claim if the post or the carrier say that you didn't use the correct packaging.

I had to return a club to Germany a few weeks back. An Post, no problem. Once its in a box, bring it along. Was 12 euro to send club to Germany recorded delivery. Bargain.

Well in the end, I sourced an old irons box and padded it out with newspaper and taped it up well.

The post office charged me 19.50 to send it to the UK and provided a tracking number so hopefully it will get there in one piece. :)
